On Thursday night week last, Ballinacourty defeated Clashmore in Round 4 of the County Senior Football Championship at Fraher Field. This week's photo brings us back to the same venue and arguably the most significant meeting between the teams, the 1978 County Senior Football Final. After a tight and tense sixty minutes, Ballinacourty captured its first ever title at the highest grade, winning by 0-13 to 2-4.
