Academy
Our weekly academy, like many other sporting events, succumbed to the weather warning on Saturday. We'll go again next week so we're looking forward to seeing the boys at the field next Saturday morning from 10am.
Our U9 and U10 avoided Saturday’s bad weather and took to the field in pleasant conditions on Sunday morning. The U9's welcomed James Stephens of Kilkenny to the Burgery and had an enjoyable morning of hurling.
The U10's were on the road to Tallow to take on Cois Brid and St. Mary's (Kill). The boys enjoyed the games and played really well.

U13 Trials
A good number of our U13 hurlers took part in county development squad trials in SETU on Sunday morning. The trials continue over the next two weeks so best of luck to the boys.

U14 Division 1 County Football Final
SETU Carriganore was the venue for the U14 county football final on Saturday morning. The match was squeezed in just before the orange weather warning took effect and was played in dry conditions. It was a tough day for our boys as they faced off against a very strong Gaultier outfit. The physical difference between the two teams was evident and the power of our opponents was too much for our young panel to cope with. It's a testament to the spirit of the boys that they fought to the bitter end. This group have contested four division 1 county finals since U12 and they will continue to play and develop. They're a good group and there will be better days ahead for them!
