Solo Across The Parish!
On Saturday afternoon, over 70 young players — from our U12s right down to our U5s — took on the epic challenge of soloing across the parish. Starting in Ballyvoyle, on our eastern boundary with Stradbally, they followed the greenway through Clonea Lower, Garrynageragh, Tallacoolmore, Ballinroad, and Ballyrandle, before arriving in Abbeyside and finishing at Walton Park, where the banks of the Colligan mark our border with Dungarvan.
There was plenty of craic along the way, and the boys will proudly tell you that not a single sliotar was dropped for the whole journey! Marching into Walton Park decked out in club colours, they were rewarded with a well-deserved pizza feast, generously sponsored by Domino’s Dungarvan. After devouring the pizza and enjoying an impromptu Poc Fada competition, the final leg was a short hop to Fraher Field to cheer on our seniors against the Brickey Rangers.
It was a fantastic day that not only raised funds for our juvenile section, but also showcased the incredible club spirit among players, parents, and volunteers. A huge thank-you goes to the volunteers who ensured the day ran smoothly, kept everyone safe, and made sure no one went hungry.
Keep an eye on our social media for the final fundraising total and photos from the day. Finally, a special word of praise for the boys themselves — their effort, enthusiasm and excellent behaviour were a credit to the club.

Championship
Our U14 and U16 hurlers are in the thick of their respective championships at the moment. Having defeated Clonea Power in their last outing our U14 division 1 team take on Ballygunner on Thursday (14th Aug). The U16's continued their run of good form in the division 1 championship by beating Mount Sion last Sunday morning (3rd Aug). They play Clan na Gael on Monday (11th Aug) in Butlerstown in the second last game of the round robin phase.
