Juvenile Notes - 6th March

U14 Football
Well done to the U14 footballers who qualified for the county final after a hard earned but deserved victory over a very good Rathgormack outfit in Abbeyside on Saturday March 2nd. With the U14 competition knockout this year this could have been our one and only fixture in this grade, therefore we have entered a second team in the U15 championship. Playing with the wind in the 1st half we got off to a flyer, scoring 1-2, but then Rathgormack got going and at half time we were only a point to the good, 1-3 to 1-2. We started the 2nd half well, but again Rathgormack clawed us back & went three up, but our lads took over in the last 10 minutes to win on a scoreline of 3-7 to 3-4. We meet old rival Gaultier in the final on April 20th. We start the U15 football championship next before we have the Féile football qualifying at the end of the month.
Panel on the day - Sean Walsh, Sean Queally, Kieran Cosgrave, Jake Fitz Drummey, Cormac Dunne Fitzgerald, Diarmuid Mackle, Fionn Murchu, Brian Callaghan, Billy O Connell, Cathal Sweeney, Daniel Morrissey, Fionn Dwyer, Aodhan Barrett, Darragh Cosgrave, Jack O Donovan, Jamie Mulcahy, Ethan Keohan, Sean Prunty, Robert Prunty, Niall McCarthy, Tommy Flynn. We wish panel members Darragh Walsh and Jake O Donnell speedy recoveries from their injuries which ruled them out the weekend.

Camogie Notes - 6th March

Medal Presentation
We recently held our medal presentation night for our U13C county final winning team. The night started with a very enjoyable run through of the year from our chairperson Michelle. We had the pleasure of having Waterford Senior Camogie player Lorraine Bray to present the medals to the girls. We then had a question and answer session with Lorraine followed by refreshments. A big thank you to everyone who helped out on the night.
