Camogie All Ireland
There was a large number of supporters from Abbeyside in Nowlan Park last Saturday to cheer on the Waterford camogie team in their All Ireland semi final and thankfully, after a tense opening they qualified for their 1st final  since 1945. Massive congratulations to all involved in particular local girls Meagan and Dearbhla. All roads now lead to Croke Park on the 06th August. We can’t wait!

U10 Football
On Saturday last we held a blitz tournament at our club grounds where we welcomed teams form Rathgormack and Brickey Rangers.

A great morning of football with some fantastic football skills shown by all teams. The Ballinacourty team continue to train for the Under 10 Bord na nÓg all county football league which will kick off on July 29th.

U9 Hurling
Last Saturday, our U9s hosted our nearest neighbours, Dungarvan and traditional hurling stronghold, Lismore to our grounds.
On a morning where monsoon-like downpours became frequent, all teams showed an array of skills, determination and some sublime converted scores cheered on by a large crowd.
The lads have worked very hard at home and on the training field and was reflected on the pitch Saturday morning.
We will continue to train every Thursday @18:00 and Saturday with our Academy @10:00 and look forward to more enjoyable blitzes over the summer period.
Dún na Mainistreach Abú.

U13 Hurling
Our Under 13 hurlers continued their July series of games with a trip to the GAA’s National Development Centre, in Blanchardstown in Dublin, to play Kilmacud Crokes. The lads had a great day with an early start and a visit to the Aqua-Zone in the National Aquatic Centre after the game. They played a great hour of hurling on the 4G pitch and in the end came out on top against Crokes. It was a super day out for the boys. Many thanks to Joe Cleary and Hallahan Coaches for getting the team to Dublin and home safely and to Kilmacud for facilitating the game. The boys next game is against Carrick Swans on Monday.

Camogie News
Best of luck to Megan and Dearbhla in the All Ireland Semi Final!
All roads lead to Nowlan Park Kilkenny this Saturday 22nd July as Waterford look for a place in the All Ireland Senior Camogie Final. Game starts at 3.30pm, go and show the girls your support! They have worked hard all year, and what a great achievement to be in a semi-final!!

A special mention to Abbeyside's own Dearbhla Beresford and Megan O Regan who represent the club on Saturday, very best of luck girls, so proud of you, and rooting for you!

Away Jersey Orders
Our fantastic away jersey sponsored by Ballycoe Nurseries has been available to order up to 17th July. On its sleeve, the jersey includes the name of two dearly missed and much loved members of the club, Shauna McGrath and Laura Cliffe, which is a lovely tribute.
The lead-time for the jersey is 6 weeks, and all orders will be available for collection at Abbeyside GAA field. The club will keep everyone updated on progress over the coming weeks.

Junior Hurling
The Junior B hurlers travelled to Kilmacthomas on Saturday last to take part in a 7 a side tournament. Thankfully the weather gods were kind and after playing our 4 group games we progressed to the final where we faced off against our hosts. We burst out of the blocks racing into a 10 point lead in the first half and some great passages of defending meant we saw it home against the breeze in the 2nd 10 minutes spell.
Well done to all the lads who played their part on the day and a big thank you to Kilmac for putting on a great day.

Camogie News
Another active week for the club!

This week our U8's had the honour of playing at half time in the SETU Arena during the Waterford vs Antrim Senior camogie game. Great excitement as the girls formed a guard of honour for the girls as they ran out onto the pitch. A great day was had by all, and a big thanks to Waterford camogie, the coaches, parents and guardians for helping to make it happen!

Huge congratulations to our own Dearbhla Beresford and Megan O’Regan representing Abbeyside on the team, well done girls and thank you for all the hurley and jersey signing after the game!

U15 Camogie
Well done also to Sophie Norris and Abbie ODonnell representing Abbeyside on the Waterford U15 camogie panel, keep up the great work!
