Emer Enright RIP

Emer Enright RIP

On behalf of all in our club we would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the Enright family on the passing of their beloved Emer. A deep sense of sadness has come over the club since news of Emer's passing emerged yesterday as she had been attending club games up to very recently, as despite her illness she insisted on supporting her club teams in this year's county finals.
Like all in her family, Emer was greatly involved in our club, but it was in her role of providing first aid to many of our teams that Emer was best known to most. Despite running a very successful business for many years, Emer rarely missed a game, giving so unselfishly of her time, often attending two matches on the same day. Emer would be the first to arrive at training sessions or matches in order to ensure that the players were in the best physical condition possible. It wasn't just in this way that Emer contributed, as her positive and caring personality always shone through in the dressing room, something which had a hugely positive effect on all of our teams. Nothing was ever too much trouble for Emer, and she was always willing to help with providing recovery sessions for our teams as well as her first aid duties.
Coming from a family so steeped in our club, it was not surprising that Emer gave so much of herself to the club and her late father Dom would certainly be a proud man seeing the commitment that Emer gave to our club. Whilst we will all miss Emer's huge contribution to our club, it is her infectious positive and caring personality that we will all miss most, and while she may be gone from us know all who encountered Emer will certainly never forget her.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the Enright family at this time, but especially her mother Margaret, sisters Onra, Niamh, Ciara, Deirdre and Gráinne and her brothers Tomás, Donncha and Cormac. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis
