Abbeyside In Croke Park
On Tuesday of last week our U12 hurlers had the honour of playing three matches in the historic Croke Park. 26 boys left the Burgery at 10am and arrived on Clonliffe Road in the early afternoon. The boys were taken on a tour of the stadium and got a great lesson on the history and heritage of "headquarters". After the tour it was game time and the boys played three matches against Cashel King Cormac's, St. Oliver Plunketts and Templeglantine. It's fair to say that the Abbeyside boys played hurling that reflected the quality of the pitch and they had hugely enjoyable experience. Big credit must go to all the coaches who helped organize the day and make it so special for the boys.
Memories have been made for life!
Hopefully they won’t be the only Abbeyside lads to get their hands on the Liam McCarthy in Croke Park this year.

Seán Óg, Charlie, Gavin, Owen, Micheál, Jack, Sam and Colm played against Limerick and competed very well.  Well done to all of our young hurlers and footballers, they did the club, their families and themselves very proud!

Camoige News
U15 Feile
Last Saturday our U15girls competed in the Feile competition at SETU arena, and to say it was nail biting stuff is an understatement. The girls won their first 2 games against Ballyduff Upper and Portlaw to meet Butlerstown in the final. The game was level after extra time, went to 5x 45's and then sudden death. The girls displayed amazing grit and determination but were defeated in the end.
The feedback they received in relation to their superb attitude, workrate and display of hurling was fantastic.  Well done girls, you should be so proud of yourselves, and when the win comes it will be all the sweeter.  Thanks to the coaches PJ, Padraig and Nollaig for all you do with the girls.
