This week's photo shows the Abbeyside U16 Hurling team that won the Meladon Trophy in 1977. The Flynn family commemorated the victory of their horse, Meladon, at Cheltenham by offering the Meladon Trophy for a tournament organised by Dungarvan GAA Club. In the final played at the CBS field, the Village boys beat Dungarvan to lift the trophy.
