This follows last year's win over the same opposition and is great reward for a very dedicated and committed group of players. Well done to all involved.

Last weekend both the Waterford Senior Hurlers and Footballers opened their Munster Championship campaign with matches against Clare.  The footballers traveled to Ennis on Saturday where Brian Looby was team captain and Sean Whelan Barrett was also on the team. Despite a brave performance by the team it was the home side who won by a point. On Sunday the hurlers welcomed Clare to Walsh Park and Conor Prunty made his debut on the team, but unfortunately it was Clare who emerged as winners. Hopefully they will bounce back this week with a win in Thurles.

Féile Hurling
Hard luck to the U14 hurlers who lost out to DLS in the Féile Hurling Final Thursday last on a scoreline of 2-4 to 2-2. With the teams level at half time it was DLS who made the better start to the second half and while the boys gave it everything to get that goal to win it, it wasn't to be. We wish DLS all the best in the National Féile Competition in early June. Sunday gone we were due to play the U14 Football County Final but the game never went ahead due to a bereavement in the Gaultier club. We wait for the board to re-fix.
