Club Notes - 3rd July

Jack the Joker
Our ever popular Jack the Joker fundraiser continues this Sunday night in Minnies Bar where the jackpot is €9400 as on Sunday night To  Whelan was drawn out of the drum and chose card number 49 which when turned was not the joker but he did win €50.  Evan Collins and Diarmuid O'Hare won €25 each.

Senior Football
On Saturday night last we played The Nire in the County League in Abbeyside, where despite a good second half display from our lads it was our opponents who emerged as winners.

Junior Hurling
Our Junior C hurlers continued with their championship campaign on Friday night last when they travelled to Kilgobnet and came away with an excellent win over the home side. This Friday night they travel to Knockanore to play Shamrocks in the final group match.
TEAM: L. POWER, S.O’GORMAN, J. KIELY, C.O’DWYER, T. WALSH, J. MULLEN, R. CONWAY, N. DEE, R. RYAN, K. DALTON, E.ENRIGHT, O. YOUNG, J. O’RIORDAN, I. KIELY, R. SHEEHAN.
SUBS: B. ENRIGHT, D. SHIELDS, C. FAGAN, S. KENNEALLY, D. O'RIORDAN, P. COLLINS.

Minor Football
Last Sunday night saw our Minor footballers take on a fine Gaultier side in Fraher Field in the County Final. On the night our cause wasn’t helped by the absence of a number of our team or that we had no championship game in almost 6 weeks but having said that we must congratulate Gaultier on a thoroughly deserved victory. To our lads credit they kept battling up to the full time whistle and we thank them and all the backroom team for their commitment since the start of the year.

Club Bingo
Our club bingo continues in the CBS Hall this Sunday night where the jackpot is €750.

Déise Draw
The June Déise Draw took place last week in Ardmore where the club had one winner as Keeva Walsh won €150.

Development Fund
Abbeyside/Ballinacourty GAA Club has been growing at a dramatic pace over the past 10 years with the population of our parish increasing rapidly. We must ensure that we have the best facilities for all our players. We want to ensure that the next generation have the facilities that they need and deserve. We are asking supporters and friends to support this project over the next five years.
