Club Notes - 25th September

Jack the Joker
Our ever popular Jack the Joker fundraiser continues this Sunday night in Alice O'Connor’s Bar where the jackpot is €3800 as on Sunday night Carmel Hurney was drawn out of the drum and chose card number 18 which when turned was not the joker but she did win €50. Anne Travers and Frank Nugent won €25 each.

Minor Hurling
Our Minor hurlers welcome Mt Sion to our club grounds this Thursday night for the County quarter final with a 7pm throw in. Please show your support for the team.

Junior Hurling
Last weekend both our Junior hurling teams were in championship action with pride of place going to our Junior C team who had a fantastic win over Brickey Rangers on Sunday in Fraher Field. Some well taken goals saw us lead for much of the game but credit to our opponents they kept battling right up to the fulltime whistle.  There were great scenes of joy at the end of the game as we won the championship for the first time since 2013.  We congratulate the players and management team on their win and look forward to the County Final in a number of weeks.

Delia was a great supporter of our club and served on a variety of club committee’s being a great supporter of Club Scór groups. Once again we send our sympathy to all of Delia’s family.
