Club Notes - 18th August

Intercounty
On Monday last the Waterford minor hurlers with, Billy O Connell, Charlie Treen, Seanie O Callaghan, Aidan Higgins, Darragh Walsh and Jack McGrath all involved unfortunately came up short in the Munster Final against Cork. This was the first final appearance in quite a while so all involved can be satisfied with their season.

County Final 2020
After a few false starts, we will finally get to play last year’s Senior Football County Final against Rathgormack this coming Saturday in Walsh Park. Preparations have been ongoing for a while now and we wish Lar and all the lads the very best as we look to bring the Conway Cup home for the 7th time. Throw-in is at 17.00.

Championship 2021
Also kicking off this week we have the 2021 championships with both the Minor and Junior A Hurlers in action.
The Minors are first into action with a game against St Carthage's on Wednesday followed by a home encounter with Clonea next Sunday. Meanwhile the Junior A’s kick off their campaign against The Brickies on Friday.

Membership
As we return, we would like to emphasis the importance of getting your membership paid as soon as possible. If you have not already done so, please contact our membership officer Kevin Tobin on 087 9954448 to arrange payment. From a playing perspective it is compulsory that you are a member as it ensures you are included in the insurance scheme. Rates for this year are Adult €150 / Student €75, Married Couple (non-playing) €70, Single (non-playing) €50 and OAP €40. Of course, members of our 300 Club are fully covered.

Deise Super Draw 2021
The next draw will take place on 26th August.

Jack The Joker
The ever-popular Jack The Joker draw took place on Monday night last. Stags & Jerry were drawn and picked number 45. When turned this was not the Joker, but they did win €50. Edwina Farrell and Eileen O Donovan won €25 each. The jackpot next week will be €1,500.
