County League
The football league continued last weekend with the Seniors registering a 1 point victory against Kilrossanty last Friday evening in the club grounds on a score line 2-12 to 2-11. The Intermediates were in action also and defeated Bunmahon on Saturday 1-16 to 1-08.

There are no games this week.

U15 Football Championship
The division 1 boys continued their 100% record in the championship with a win against the Brickeys on Monday evening while the division 4 team played some great stuff to claim the win against Clashmore/Kinsalebeg.  Well done lads!

U13 Football Championship
Our division 4 boys had a busy week as they played Ardmore on Monday evening and Kilrossanty on Wednesday evening, recording good victories in both matches.
The division 1 panel hosted Gaultier on Wednesday and came out on top with a four point victory.

Town & Country League
One of our U12 panels lost out to St. Olivers by a point on Friday 15th and our other U12 panel travelled to Ballyduff Upper where they put in a good performance but lost out in the end.
The U11’s boys were on the road to Ardmore and Kilgobnet on Sunday morning and won both matches, playing some great football.

Waterford Primary Schools Games
Congratulations to Coleman Radley, a member of our U13 panel and a pupil of Scoil Gharbháin, who represented the Waterford Primary Schools at half time in the Munster SHC match between Waterford & Tipperary on recently.  Well done Coleman!

Academy Update – Under 9s
The under 9’s have been back at the pitch since February 26th with a 4 week block of football training completed followed by a blitz against Gaultier on March 26th which was a great success. We are currently in the midst of a hurling block and we are played a very entertaining hurling blitz against Midleton last Saturday. With the pitches starting to firm up and the long evenings on the way the kids and coaches are looking forward to a busy summer of activities. We hope to hold a mini All Ireland 9 a side internal competition with the under 10’s during May and we encourage all parents to get involved with this great event.

Well Kids!
The Well Kids programme officially got up and running last Saturday morning and our astroturf was awash with a gaggle of four to six year old boys running and hopping and jumping and falling.  Generally just having great craic! It was great to see the coaches making the most of things like hula-hoops and pool-noodles (not your conventional coaching equipment!) to help start the GAA journey for the young boys in a really fun and positive way.  Our academy is always open to new members so if you have a boy aged between 4 and 10 years old just get in touch through our Facebook page or email abbeycourtyjuvenilesec@gmail.com

Bingo
Sunday Night Bingo continues every Sunday at 8pm.
