Bingo
Our regular Sunday
night Bingo continues every week in the CBS Hall. Eyes down at 8.00pm.
Academy
Our
academy has been making the most of the improved weather and hard ground over
the past weeks with all age groups getting in plenty of hurling practice as well
as games and blitzes. Our academy always
welcomes new members so any boys between the age of 5 and 10 who wants to have
lots of fun should come out any Saturday morning and join in.
U10
Our
U10 group have had a busy few weeks playing the Déise Óg hurling series against
clubs all across the county and this coming weekend they take part in the
annual Ballyduff Upper U10 hurling tournament.
The Ballyduff tournament is a rite of passage for U10 boys where they
get to pit their skills against clubs from all across Munster. We’ll have two teams heading off on Saturday
morning to represent the club so we wish them well and hope they enjoy the
experience.
U12
Last
Friday our U12 hurlers welcomed Ballygunner to play the third round of the
division 1 All County League. The young
Village boys got off to a great start and it was nip and tuck through the first
half with both teams producing very entertaining hurling. Our boys got the upper hand in the end and
won with a scoreline of 2-03 to 1-04.
Well done boys!

U13
After
losing out to Gaultier in the division 1 county football final last week, our
U13’s take up their hurleys and prepare for championship in the coming weeks.
Best wishes to Killian Hagan who has qualified for the county final in the Larry
Quinn U13 Hurling Skills competition in Carriganore this week.
Primary Games
Well
done to another of our U13 panel, Fionnán Murray, who recently represented his
Scoil Gharbháin in the primary games when Waterford played Clare in the Munster
Hurling championship. Fionnán loves his
hurling and represented his school and club very well.

U15
Our
U15’s also switch to hurling for the summer after both teams narrowly lost out
at the semi final stage in the county football championship. Good luck to all the players and coaches and
we look forward to seeing our many members and friends supporting all our
juvenile teams through the summer!
“The Field”
Over
the past couple of weeks, many people (visitors and club members alike) have
been very complimentary of the playing surface at our club ground. Indeed “the field” is in amazing condition
which is great for fast flowing hurling, it’s a credit to our grounds people.
Camoige News
Our camogie girls continue to have a busy summer,
with plenty of activity!

April and May, will have a few challenges in the next couple of weeks and the

U14
Our U-14 are training hard and won their 2nd

Modeligo the week before. Some great skills displayed, a great game was had!
