Academy Update
It was another lovely sunny Saturday morning at the field and the academy boys really made the most of it.  There was loads of hurling, football and fun throughout all the age groups from U6 to U9.  Our academy is a really enjoyable experience for any young boy who wants to get active, develop their movement and agility while learning the skills of hurling and football.  If you have a son aged between 5 and 10 who might be interested in joining in on the fun, bring them along any Saturday morning and we'll look after them.

U10
The U10s welcomed An Ghealtacht and Gaultier to the Burgery on what was a beautiful Sunday morning.  They played just under an hour of really competitive football and relished the challenge from our visitors.

U15
Tuesday night (14th May) was an "up and down" night for our U15 footballers. The division 4 boys played with great heart against St Pat's but unfortunately lost out at the final whistle. They were disappointed with the result but on reflection they can be proud of their performances throughout the football season.
In contrast, the division 1 team had a convincing win over Stradbally in Kill. The boys have been building momentum as they've navigated the championship and will need to make a further step up in the county final against Gaultier on Monday evening (20th May). Best of luck boys we're all behind ye!

Junior League victory makes history for Abbeyside Camogie Club!
Last Saturday evening club history was made for our Adult club, when they won the league final, a first for the club!  Our adult team has only been in place for the last few years, and this group has gone from strength to strength!  Their win was dedicated to their loved and never forgotten teammate Shauna McGrath, who lined out many times with this team in her No 1 jersey.  Thanks to Ballyduff Upper for a sporting game.  Well done girls, you have worked hard for this win, and wishing you the very best of luck in the championship!

U14 Development Squad
This weekend we had six U14 club members representing their county at the U14 County Development Squad blitz, well done to Amy, Laura, Mairi, Shannon, Sophie and Clodagh on flying the flag for your club. A big commitment, keep up the great work!

5K Greenway Run
On the June bank holiday Sunday 2nd June, our junior girls will be completing a 5k run. The girls are raising funds for both the junior squad for the year ahead and the charity "Feileachain" in memory of their teammate Shauna McGrath. Feileachain was formed by a group of bereaved parents to offer support to anyone affected by the death of a baby around the time of birth. We would love your support! Please support this great cause by contacting our Facebook or Instagram page, or any of our players or mentors to purchase a line on our sponsorship cards which are €5 each.
