Academy
The academy, for boys between 5 and 10 years old, is still flying every Saturday morning from 10am.  Call out any Saturday morning or get in touch with us through our Facebook page to get more information.
 
U13
Both of our U13 hurling teams bowed out of the championship at the semi final stage recently.  Well done to the boys and their coaches for putting in a great effort this year and it's good to see our young hurlers continuing their development.
 
U15
The U15 hurlers lost to Ballygunner in the division 1 county semi final last week in Ballyduff Lower.  Although the disappointment was obvious for the boys, they can hold their heads high because they gave it 100% and left everything on the field.  Looking back on their year, the boys and the coaches did really well to win the division 1 football championship and get to a division 1 semi final in hurling.  The results are good but the development of the boys as individuals and as a team was encouraging to see.
 
Under 11 Killeagh Tournament
Last Saturday, we had the pleasure of participating in a fantastic hurling tournament hosted by Killeagh GAA. Our club brought along 25 enthusiastic young under 11 hurlers, who were divided into two evenly matched teams, ensuring that everyone had ample opportunity to demonstrate their skills and enjoy a day filled with hurling action.
In addition to our under 11s, we were fortunate to have four talented under 10 players join us on the day.  Their contribution to the teams was invaluable, and they showed great determination and skill throughout the tournament.  A big thanks to them for stepping up and playing a key role in our teams’ performances.
Throughout the day, both teams faced strong opposition, competing against teams from Dicksboro, St. Finbarrs, Killeagh, and Valley Rovers.  Each game provided a challenging test, and our players rose to the occasion, showcasing their talent, teamwork, and determination.  The effort from all the kids was commendable and the experience of playing against such formidable clubs was invaluable for their development and growth as hurlers.
Many thanks to the parents who came to support the boys on the day.  Your support is an essential part of the boys experience and a huge help to the coaches.
A special thanks must go to Killeagh GAA for not only extending the invitation to this wonderful tournament but also for hosting the day with such professionalism and hospitality.  We greatly appreciate their effort and look forward to future events.
Also as the evenings close in and it is dusk when lads are cycling home from training can we add a reminder to parents and kids to wear their hi-viz vests and have a light front and back on their bikes so they are seen when going home.

Club History
Abbeyside / Ballinacourty GAA Club was formed in 1967 as a result of the amalgamation of Abbeyside Hurling and Football Clubs and Ballinacourty Football Club. It is situated within the Parish of Abbeyside, Ballinroad and Garranbane. Located on the eastern side of the River Colligan, it forms the northern and eastern shorelines of Dungarvan Harbour from Abbeyside Church to Ballinacourty Lighthouse

Development Fund
Abbeyside/Ballinacourty GAA Club has been growing at a dramatic pace over the past 10 years with the population of our parish increasing rapidly. We must ensure that we have the best facilities for all our players. We want to ensure that the next generation have the facilities that they need and deserve. We are asking supporters and friends to support this project over the next five years.
