Academy
Our
academy for boys age 10 and younger continues every Saturday morning from 10am.
Call out to our club grounds to join in the fun, you'll receive a warm welcome.
The "Well Kids!" programme which is, aimed at introducing 4 & 5
year olds to our games, is underway and it's a fantastic way for younger
children to get involved and have loads of fun.
U11
& U12
These
two groups continue their busy summer programme of hurling and football. As
well as their regular coaching sessions they play matches, alternating between
hurling and football, on a weekly basis and both groups are doing really well.
Championship
Update
Our
U14's travelled to Clonea Power on Monday (21st July) and took the victor with
a scoreline of 3-11 to 3-09. On Sunday morning (27th July) our U16's were on
the road to play Lismore in round four of the hurling championship. The boys
put in a good performance to win 2-17 to 0-08.
Intercounty
Action
We
had boys representing Waterford in football across two age grades at the
weekend. Colm Kiely and his teammates lost narrowly in the semi final of the
O'Donovan Cup, a national competition, to Wexford on Saturday. We also had a
number of U14's playing in the qualification matches for the Jim Power football
tournament. Fergus Donnelly, Jamie Drummey, Aaron Lacey, Isaac Walsh & Luke
Walsh lined out for Waterford and will go on to play the finals in two weeks
time.
