Academy Update
After a very busy summer, our academy for boys aged 10
and younger, continues to provide a safe and fun environment for children to
enjoy hurling and football while developing their skills, agility and
friendships. Contact us via our Facebook page or email abbeycourtyjuvenilesec@gmail.com to
find out more.
U11 Tour of Munster
in the past four weeks, our U11's had the privilege of
playing hurling and football in some of the biggest and most prestigious stadiums
in the country. At the end of July they played a football blitz the state of
the art Páirc Uí Chaoimh and last week they played hurling in the famed home of
hurling, Semple Stadium. They boys (and the coaches!) really enjoyed the days
out. It's a fantastic initiative from the Munster council and it's all about
developing a love of our games in young players.

U14
Our division 1 hurlers lost at home to Ballygunner
last Thursday evening in the final round robin game of the championship. It
wasn't for lack of effort though, the boys were missing a number of players due
to holidays and injury. They now face Clonea Power in the plate final in the
coming weeks.
The division 4 team take on their Ballygunner
counterparts in the plate semi final on Monday (18th Aug) in the plate semi
final. Best of luck boys
U16
On Monday (11th Aug) our U16's travelled to
Butlerstown to take on Clan na Gael in the second last match of the round robin
phase. The lads put in a good team performance to take the win and now wait a
week to play De la Salle at home in the last game before knockout begins.
