U11 & U12 End of Season Tournament
We rounded off the season with a fantastic U11 and U12 tournament held on our own field on Sunday morning. Over 40 players took part, enjoying a day of great football in perfect weather conditions. The standard of play was excellent throughout, reflecting the progress made by both groups this year. There’s a bright future ahead for these young footballers. The day finished on a high note with well-earned treats to recognise the efforts that the boys put in through the season.

U11s & U12s

U13 Hurling County Final
Our U13 hurlers faced Clonea Power in the County Final on Saturday, 1st November, at Dungarvan GAA grounds. After a slow start, Abbeyside trailed at half-time but showed great spirit and determination to battle back in the second half. Despite hurling brilliantly and pushing right to the final whistle, the boys were unlucky to lose by just a single point. A tough result, but a performance full of heart and effort from this group.

Munster Super 10s
Our boys travelled to the Limerick GAA Centre of Excellence for the Munster Super 10s, facing strong opposition from Scartaglen (Kerry) and Fethard (Tipperary). The Super 10s is a 10-aside competition with matches played in two 12 minute halves.  As expected, the standard of football was very high, but our lads rose to the challenge and competed superbly throughout. Despite two narrow defeats – losing by just two points to Fethard and by a single point to Scartaglen (3-10 to 3-09) – the team can be proud of their performances. The Super 10s is an excellent competition that encourages fast, attacking football, and our players represented the club with great skill and determination.  It was lovely to meet our clubman and staunch supporter Liam O’ Connor on the day.  Liam was proud to see the green and white of Ballinacourty on the Munster stage.

U6 Hurloween
We had a fun last training session of the year on the run up Halloween. The boys dressed up in their Halloween costumes and had great fun chasing after pumpkins instead of sliotars!
