The 2013 County Senior Hurling Championship commences this weekend. In recognition, this week's photo shows the first Abbeyside team to compete at the senior grade in 1951. Neighbours Dungarvan were our opponents in the first round. Their greater experience saw them win on a scoreline of 4-3 to 1-3.
