Club Notes - 17th July

Jack The Joker
No. Drawn - 21
Our popular Jack the Joker Fundraiser will continue this Sunday night in Kennedy’s Live where the Jackpot will be €2,192 as on Sunday night Tony Collins was drawn out of the drum and picked card 21 but did not find the Joker, yet he did win €50. Brendan Mansfield and The Morning Club won €25.




Senior Hurling
On Friday evening last we defeated Lismore in the semi final of the Sargent Cup and have now qualified for the final against Mt. Sion.

Senior Football
We play The Nire this Saturday evening at 7:30 pm in Fraher Field in the County Championship.

Intermediate Football
This Sunday we play Dungarvan at 7 pm in Fraher Field.

Club Bingo
Our Bingo continues this Sunday night in the CBS Hall where the jackpot is €1100.

Club Committee Meeting
There will be a meeting of the club committee on Monday night, July 22nd at 8:30pm in the Clubhouse.

Mary and Mollie Tournament
On Saturday July 20th the first Mary and Mollie Enright Ladies Under 16 Football Tournament will take place in our club grounds. During her life Mary gave an enormous amount to Ladies Football in our club and at county level and this tournament is being held to commemorate the memory of Mary and her daughter Mollie. Four teams, Abbeyside, Dungarvan, Inch and Moyle Rovers will compete on the day with the winners of the final being presented with the Mary and Mollie Cup and the winners of the 3rd/4th play off will receive the Mary and Mollie Shield. The tournament will commence at 2pm with the presentations due to take place at 5pm. All are welcome to attend with refreshments being served throughout the day. Also please note that special commemorative t-shirts will be on sale on the day at a cost of €10, with all proceeds going to Temple Street Children’s Hospital.
Club History
Abbeyside / Ballinacourty GAA Club was formed in 1967 as a result of the amalgamation of Abbeyside Hurling and Football Clubs and Ballinacourty Football Club. It is situated within the Parish of Abbeyside, Ballinroad and Garranbane. Located on the eastern side of the River Colligan, it forms the northern and eastern shorelines of Dungarvan Harbour from Abbeyside Church to Ballinacourty Lighthouse

Development Fund
Abbeyside/Ballinacourty GAA Club has been growing at a dramatic pace over the past 10 years with the population of our parish increasing rapidly. We must ensure that we have the best facilities for all our players. We want to ensure that the next generation have the facilities that they need and deserve. We are asking supporters and friends to support this project over the next five years.
