Get Well Soon
Like all GAA clubs ours is one where we depend heavily on the volunteer spirit of our our underage coaches to keep our Juvenile section alive and in turn to ensure that we have players coming through to keep our adult teams competitive. For a number of years now Benny Flynn has given selflessly of his time to our Juvenile Section and all of us in the club would like to wish Benny a speedy recovery from his recent operation and hope that it won’t be too long before we see him coaching our underage teams again.

Club Bingo
This Sunday our Club Bingo will return to the CBS Hall at 8:30 pm where the jackpot is €1000.

Park Hotel Awards
On behalf of all in the club we would like to congratulate Niamh Briggs on being named the winner of Annual Park Hotel Sports Awards on Saturday night last. As outlined last week Niamh had a fantastic year last year and this award caps a wonderful twelve months for her. To win such a prestigious award is a great achievement for Niamh and her family, and we look forward to following her career for many years to come

With a number of football Championships due to get underway in the next number of weeks we would ask that all players and indeed non players make a special effort to pay their membership to our Membership Officer Kevin Tobin as soon as possible.

Club Social
Our Club Social has been fixed for Saturday February 15th in the Park Hotel, and it promises to be a great night where we will be presenting medals to our victorious Senior and Under 21 Football teams and our Junior Hurling Team.  Tickets costing €25 can be ordered from Michael Ferncombe, Kevin Tobin, Niamh Enright, Jonathan O’Donovan, Tiernan Murray or Neil Moore.

On behalf of all in the club we would like to congratulate Ballysaggart on their great win in the All Ireland Semi Final on Sunday last in Tullamore and wish them the very best of luck in the All Ireland Final in Croke Park in two weeks time.

Best of Luck
This Sunday sees the commencement of the Allianz National Football Leagues as Waterford entertain Clare in Fraher Field. Our own Shane Briggs is Captain of the Footballers for the year and we would like to wish Shane and the entire panel the very best of luck for the upcoming season.

GAA National Draw
This year for the GAA are staging a National Draw with some truly fantastic prizes on offer. The prize fund is being fully paid for by Croke Park meaning that 100% of the money the club makes from the draw will be kept by the club. Tickets cost €10 each and are currently available to purchase from any member of the Club Committee or the Juvenile Committee.

Munster Council
All of us in Abbeyside / Ballinacourty GAA Club would like to congratulate Anthony Walsh on his election to the position of Treasurer of Munster Council on Friday night last. Anthony becomes the first Waterford man to hold this position and it is a tremendous honour for Anthony and indeed the Division and County.
Club History
Abbeyside / Ballinacourty GAA Club was formed in 1967 as a result of the amalgamation of Abbeyside Hurling and Football Clubs and Ballinacourty Football Club. It is situated within the Parish of Abbeyside, Ballinroad and Garranbane. Located on the eastern side of the River Colligan, it forms the northern and eastern shorelines of Dungarvan Harbour from Abbeyside Church to Ballinacourty Lighthouse
Development Fund
Abbeyside/Ballinacourty GAA Club has been growing at a dramatic pace over the past 10 years with the population of our parish increasing rapidly. We must ensure that we have the best facilities for all our players. We want to ensure that the next generation have the facilities that they need and deserve. We are asking supporters and friends to support this project over the next five years.
Strategic Plan
Past generations have had their visions for the future of our club. These are our current aims and with these achieved we hope to hand on the club to future generations in the same healthy state it was passed onto us.
