Club Trip
We are glad to report that all of the club party who went on the club outing to Cardiff (or Liverpool!!) returned safely from what was a great weekend enjoyed by all and which was richly deserved by the players. A special thank you, to James O’Mahony and Michael O’Halloran, who put in so much work to organise the trip.

Team Managers
Anybody who is interested in managing any of our adult teams next year is asked to inform Jonathan O’Donovan by January 8th.

Club Social
Our Club Social has been fixed for Saturday February 15th in the Park Hotel, and it promises to be a great night where we will be presenting medals to our victorious Senior and Under 21 Football teams and our Junior Hurling Team.  Tickets costing €25 can be ordered from Michael Ferncombe, Kevin Tobin, Niamh Enright, Jonathan O’Donovan or Tiernan Murray.

Granville Hotel Award
We would like to wish Patrick Hurney the very best of luck ahead of the Granville Hotel/WLR FM GAA Awards night which takes place this Saturday night. Patrick was nominated for the award in recognition of his scoring during last year’s County Senior Hurling Championship.

GAA National Draw
This year for the GAA are staging a National Draw with some truly fantastic prizes on offer. The prize fund is being fully paid for by Croke Park meaning that 100% of the money the club makes from the draw will be kept by the club. Tickets cost €10 each and are currently available to purchase from any member of the Club Committee or the Juvenile Committee.

Sympathy
On behalf of all in the club we would like to send our sympathies to the family and many friends of the late Aggie Hourigan, Murphy Place who passed away recently. The Hourigan family have a long association with our club as her sons and grandsons played with us and continue to play an active role in the club whilst her great grandchildren maintain the link with the club on the playing fields today. We once again send our sympathies to all her family but especially to her sister Rita, daughters Nora, Eleanor and Kathleen and her sons Michael, Paddy, John, David and Declan.

We would also like to send our sympathies to the McDonagh family, Bagenalstown Co. Carlow, on the death of Mr. Michael McDonagh who was a business partner of Jack O’Hare with Adesco who are of course our main club sponsors. The very generous financial support given to the club by Michael and Jack is deeply appreciated by all in the club and we once again send our sympathies to Michael’s family but especially his father James, wife Mary, children Eoin and Orla his sister Maeve and brother Declan.

Development Fund
Abbeyside/Ballinacourty GAA Club has been growing at a dramatic pace over the past 10 years with the population of our parish increasing rapidly. We must ensure that we have the best facilities for all our players. We want to ensure that the next generation have the facilities that they need and deserve. We are asking supporters and friends to support this project over the next five years.

Strategic Plan
Past generations have had their visions for the future of our club. These are our current aims and with these achieved we hope to hand on the club to future generations in the same healthy state it was passed onto us.
