Jack The Joker
No. Drawn - 8 |
Our ever popular Jack the Joker fundraiser continues this Sunday night
in Crotty’s Bar where the jackpot is €2,400 as on Sunday night Jonathan O’Donovan
was drawn out of the drum and chose card number 8 which wasn’t the Joker but he
did win €50. Rosie Cosgrave and Jim Egan won €25 each. As well as our group of
ticket sellers tickets can be purchased from Convenience Store Ballinroad, Village
Flowers, Spar, Mousies Takeaway, Minnies Bar, Abbeyside Post Office and Crotty’s
Corner Bar.
Senior Hurling
On Sunday night last we took on Ballygunner in our re fixed quarter
final of the Senior Hurling Championship. Despite doing most of the hurling in
the opening half, we went in 4 points down and in the second half our opponents
controlled the game, despite the best efforts of our players. Whilst defeat was
our lot on the night we would like to thank the players and management team for
all the hard work and commitment they showed since mid January.

Sympathy
On behalf of all in the club we would like to extend our deepest
sympathies to the family and friends of the late Kitty Organ, Sarsfield Street,
who passed away recently. The Organ family have links with our club since the very
early days of the club and Kitty’s sons played for the club winning many County
Titles during their playing careers. They continue to support the club today in
a variety of ways which is very much appreciated by all involved in the club.
Once again we send our sympathies to Kitty’s family on their loss.
