Club Notes - 8th March

Jack The Joker
Our ever popular Jack the Joker fundraiser continues this Sunday night in Crotty’s Bar where the jackpot is €6,600 as on Sunday Deirdre Flynn was drawn out of the drum and chose card number 39 which wasn’t the Joker but she did win €50. Rosaire Donovan and Denis McGrath won €25 each. As well as our group of ticket sellers tickets can be purchased from Village Flowers, Spar, Mousies Takeaway, Minnies Bar, Abbeyside Post Office and Crottys Corner Bar.

Membership
As the playing season draws ever nearer we would ask all members both playing and ordinary to please get your membership paid as soon as possible. It can be paid to Membership Officer Pat Keane, or any Committee Member. The onus is on intending members to hand their membership fee over and players should be aware that they are not eligible to play for the club if they don’t pay their membership.

Field Bookings
We ask that all team managers book their times for training / matches with Michael O’Donovan in advance of returning to training. Managers must notify Michael in advance if they wish to change from their allocated time.

Post Primary Schools Games
On Sunday last St.Augustine’s College recorded a huge win over Holy Rosary Mountbellew of Galway in the Semi Final of the All Ireland Colleges Hurling. To be able to record such a big win only a week after winning the Munster Football Championship is a great credit to the team and their management team. There’s no rest for the team though as this weekend they are back in action against Strokestown of Roscommon in the All Ireland Colleges Football Semi Final with no venue confirmed as of yet. We wish them the very best of luck as they seek to qualify for two All Ireland Finals in the same year.

Club Bingo
Our club bingo session continues in the CBS Hall this Sunday night with a jackpot of €650.

We must ensure that we have the best facilities for all our players. We want to ensure that the next generation have the facilities that they need and deserve.
