Club Notes - 10th April


Jack the Joker
Our ever popular Jack the Joker fundraiser continues this Sunday night in Minnies Bar where the jackpot is €7000 as on Sunday night Niamh Briggs was drawn out of the drum and chose card number 40 which when turned was not the joker but she did win €50. Alan Mulcahy and James, Jack and Joey won €25 each.

Senior Hurling
Our Senior Hurlers opened their Championship campaign on Saturday night last in Fraher Field where they recorded a very good win over Fourmilewater.

Junior A Hurling
On Saturday night last our Junior hurlers took on Tourin in the second round of the Western Championship in Bushy Park and came away with a good victory.

Junior C Hurling
Our Junior C hurlers got their Championship campaign off to a great start on Sunday evening last when they defeated Mt. Melleray in Abbeyside.

Senior Football
This Sunday night our Senior Footballers open their championship campaign for the year when they take on Brickey Rangers in Fraher Field at 6:30pm.

First Aid Course
If there are any club members who are interested in doing a First Aid Course they should contact Kevin Tobin to let him know of your interest.

Munster ChampionshipTickets
As you are most likely aware tickets for Waterford’s Munster Championship matches in Walsh Park will be extremely limited.  Only paid up club members are entitled to have their names entered in the draw for stand or terrace tickets. Membership can be paid to Kevin Tobin.

Membership
With the playing season commencing very shortly we ask all players to get their membership paid quickly. Also non playing members can pay their membership in the coming weeks. Membership can be paid to Kevin Tobin.

Club Bingo
Our club bingo continues in the CBS Hall this Sunday night where the jackpot is €1250.

Sympathy
On behalf of all in the club we would like to send our sympathies to the family and friends of the late Keith Kenneally, Ballinroad who passed away last weekend.


Club History
Abbeyside / Ballinacourty GAA Club was formed in 1967 as a result of the amalgamation of Abbeyside Hurling and Football Clubs and Ballinacourty Football Club. It is situated within the Parish of Abbeyside, Ballinroad and Garranbane. Located on the eastern side of the River Colligan, it forms the northern and eastern shorelines of Dungarvan Harbour from Abbeyside Church to Ballinacourty Lighthouse

Development Fund
Abbeyside/Ballinacourty GAA Club has been growing at a dramatic pace over the past 10 years with the population of our parish increasing rapidly. We must ensure that we have the best facilities for all our players. We want to ensure that the next generation have the facilities that they need and deserve. We are asking supporters and friends to support this project over the next five years.
