Juvenile Notes - 3rd April

Féile Football
On Saturday March 30th we hosted the Division One qualifying for Feile Peile na nOg 2019 which will be held in Connacht at the end of June. On a lovely day in Abbeyside we played the first match of the day against Rathgormack which we won after a tough battle. Second game after a 15 minute break we played Gaultier which they won fairly comfortably as our boys tired after putting in a big effort to win the first game. In the third match of the day Gaultier faced Rathgormack. For our lads to qualify for the final we needed a Gaultier victory which they managed but Rathgormack pushed them all the way. On to the final and we threw everything at Gaultier and were losing by a point at half time. Second half the boys put in a their best performance for many a day, we dominated possesion, created many chances but falied to convert and ultimately lost by the point we trailed too at half time. Best of luck to Gaultier as they now go on to represent Waterford in the Feile finals. Our lads can be very proud of their efforts Saturday and when we meet our old rivals in the Us14 County Final later this month we just might get over the line. Big thanks to all who helped out with catering on the day, it was very much appreciated by all.
Panel on the day was: Sean Walsh, Sean Queally, Kieran Cosgrave, Jake Fitz Drummey, Cormac Dunne Fitzgerald, Diarmuid Mackle, Fionn Murchu, Brian Callaghan, Billy O Connell, Cathal Sweeney, Daniel Morrissey, Fionn Dywer, Aodhan Barrett, Darragh Cosgrave, Jack O Donovan, Jake O Donnell, Jamie Mulcahy, Ethan Keohan, Robert Prunty, Tommy Flynn.
