Club Notes - 26th August

Minor Hurling
A surreal atmosphere enveloped the Fraher Field last Wednesday evening when our minor hurlers faced off against Ballygunner in the County Final. Due to the updated government direction on Tuesday this game was played behind closed doors. Conditions weren’t wholly conducive to hurling but it is a credit to both teams that they served up a high-quality game full of skill and drama. Ultimately, we were to be disappointed but the lads can be more than proud of their display and their performances throughout the year.
Hard luck to all involved but focus switched immediately to football with a hectic schedule of 3 games in the next week.

Deise Draw 2020
Just a reminder once again that the revised Deise Draw is kicking off on this Wednesday, August 26th. As it is one of our primary fundraising streams, we’d appeal to all our members and supporters to purchase a ticket from any committee member or promoter if you haven’t already done so.

Jack The Joker
The ever-popular Jack The Joker draw took place in Minnies on Monday night last. Jack McCarron was drawn and picked number 34. This however wasn’t the Joker but he did win €50. Consequently, the jackpot rolls on to next week and will be €3,000. Emma Toal and Michael O Mahony also won €25
