Club Notes - 2nd September

Championship
The 2020 football championships kick off this coming weekend and all 3 adult teams are in action. First into action are the Senior footballers who begin their campaign with a game against Ardmore in Fraher Field next Saturday at 7.00 pm. On Sunday the Intermediate team are inaction versus Modeligo in Fraher Field at 2.00pm with our Junior A’s playing Kilgobnet in the same venue at 6.00pm. We wish all involved the very best of luck.

Deise Draw 2020
The first draw took place last Thursday, August 26th. Unfortunately, there was no winner from the club on this occasion. As this is one of our primary fundraising streams, we’d appeal to all our members and supporters to purchase a ticket from any committee member or promoter if you haven’t already done so.

Jack The Joker
The ever-popular Jack The Joker draw took place in Minnies on Monday night last. Katie Briggs was drawn and picked number 27. This however wasn’t the Joker but she did win €50. Consequently, the jackpot rolls on to next week and will be €3,100. David Hickey and Fiona Flynn also won €25.

Waterford Strategic Review Survey
Over the past week or so the club has been involved in collecting data for the above survey. This will be extremely helpful once all the information is collated and will be sure to throw up some interesting talking points. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all those who took the time to complete the survey.
