Club Notes - 16th September

Championship 2020
The highlight of the week was the performance of our Senior footballers who put in a fine performance last Sunday afternoon in defeating Clashmore. As is the nature of this year’s championship there is no time to rest on our laurels as we move forward to the Quarter final next weekend. Here Ring will provide the opposition with throw in Fraher Field Sunday afternoon at 3.00pm. Best of luck to Lar and his team.
Unfortunately, the news was not so good for the Intermediate and Junior teams who both exited their respective championships. Thanks to all involved for their efforts in what were difficult circumstances.

Deise Draw 2020
The 2nd draw will take place in the coming weeks. As this is one of our primary fundraising streams, we’d appeal to all our members and supporters to purchase a ticket from any committee member or promoter if you haven’t already done so.

Jack The Joker
The ever-popular Jack The Joker draw took place in Minnies on Monday night last. Niamh & Anthony were drawn and picked number 7. This however wasn’t the Joker but they did win €50. Consequently, the jackpot rolls on to next week and will be €3,300. Pakie Hurney and Liam Briggs also won €25.

Hard Luck
The Junior camogie were out of luck in their County Final versus The Brickies last Saturday. Whilst obviously disappointed all involved can take tremendous heart from their efforts this year.
Congratulations
On behalf of all in the club we’d like to pass on our congratulations to Sean O Hare and Deirdre Coleman on their marriage last weekend. Sean has worn the jersey with distinction for many years and of course was captain of the senior team that won the championship in 2011. We wish them both many years of happiness.
