Club Notes - 23rd June

County Leagues
Our good start to the County Leagues continued last weekend when Senior and Junior hurling teams had good wins over De La Salle and Roanmore respectively
We continue this Friday evening when the Senior hurlers make the trip to Tallow for a 7.30 throw in, whilst the Junior’s are also on the road with a game versus Ballydurn on Sunday at 11.00.

Membership
As we return, we would like to emphasis the importance of getting your membership paid as soon as possible. If you have not already done so, please contact our membership officer Kevin Tobin on 087 9954448 to arrange payment. From a playing perspective it is compulsory that you are a member as it ensures you are included in the insurance scheme. Rates for this year are Adult €150 / Student €75, Married Couple (non-playing) €70, Single (non-playing) €50 and OAP €40. Of course, members of our 300 Club are fully covered.
Kevin will be in the club grounds this coming Saturday between 10.00 and 11.30 to collect membership.

Championship Predictor
Our new fundraising initiative kicks off this weekend with the commencement of the Intercounty championships. This is the ideal opportunity to prove your tipping prowess and be in with a chance to win fantastic cash prizes. Entry forms are available from any player or committee member. Don’t miss out your chance to be crowned The GAA Guru!

Jack The Joker
The ever-popular Jack The Joker draw took place on Monday night last. Louise O Donnell was drawn and picked number 41. When turned this was not the Joker, but she did win €50. Denis Cosgrave and Sandra Cliffe won €25 each. The jackpot next week will be €4,200.

Development Fund
Abbeyside/Ballinacourty GAA Club has been growing at a dramatic pace over the past 10 years with the population of our parish increasing rapidly. We must ensure that we have the best facilities for all our players. We want to ensure that the next generation have the facilities that they need and deserve. We are asking supporters and friends to support this project over the next five years.
