Club Notes - 15th December

Annual General Meeting
Due the prevailing Covid 19 situation the meeting will now be held on online on Wednesday 15th December at 8.00pm. Please contact Jonathan Donovan or Neil Moore to get the link to attend the meeting.

Well Done Conor
On behalf of all in our club we would like to congratulate our own Conor Prunty on being selected on this year's All Star Hurling team. This is a tremendous honour for Conor, his family and our club as he becomes the first winner of an All Star award from our Club in the 50th year of the awards. Once again well done to Conor and we look forward to following his career in the Waterford jersey for many years to come.

U20 Hurling
The U20 hurlers play their County Final against Ballygunner this coming Sunday at 12.00 in Walsh Park. If you can please come along and cheers on the lads.

Jack The Joker
The ever-popular Jack The Joker draw took place on Monday night last. Bonnie Mills was drawn and picked number 10. When turned this was not the Joker, but he did win €50. Mark & Kevin and The Car Gang won €25 each. The jackpot next week will be €1,500.

Get Well Soon
On behalf of all in the club we’d like to wish Joe Power all the best as he recuperates from a recent operation. Hopefully it won’t be too long before we see him back out an about again.

Sympathy
Our deepest sympathies and condolences go to Gerry Byrne on the death of his wife Deidre over the weekend. Gerry has always been a great supporter of ours and it was often you would meet both him and Deirdre at our games over the years. Our thoughts are with him and the Byrne & Fenton families at this very difficult time.

Development Fund
Abbeyside/Ballinacourty GAA Club has been growing at a dramatic pace over the past 10 years with the population of our parish increasing rapidly. We must ensure that we have the best facilities for all our players. We want to ensure that the next generation have the facilities that they need and deserve. We are asking supporters and friends to support this project over the next five years.

Strategic Plan
Past generations have had their visions for the future of our club. These are our current aims and with these achieved we hope to hand on the club to future generations in the same healthy state it was passed onto us.
