Camoige News
It's been a busy summer so far for our camogie girls, great to see so much activity, and hope everyone is enjoying!

U8 & U10
Last Sunday 25th June, Abbeyside camogie hosted a blitz, with Cappoquin, Lismore and Mount Sion travelling down to play.  The blitzes are always a great day out and the girls really enjoyed themselves.

Great games were had between the sun and the rain, all finished off with a cuppa and the obligatory goodie bags!  Special thanks to the fantastic group of Abbeyside coaches for hosting the blitz, to Lismore, Cappoquin and Mount Sion camogie clubs for travelling to play, to the parents for taking the girls not only to blitzes, but to training every week, and to all of the Abbeyside camogie committee who helped on the day.  Special thanks also goes to Abbeyside GAA for the use of the field, it is much appreciated.

U12
Holiday season has definitely begun as we had 15 girls at our last training session, about half our usual numbers.  The girls played matches on June 8th against Portlaw which Abbeyside won, a total of 28 girls attended, and girls did very well winning as a different squad was played for each half including subs. Last Thursday the girls lost to Modeligo in a low scoring game.

Next 2 matches are away on 29th June in Portlaw and on 13th July in Mount Sion both at 6.30pm.  The girls are doing well in their group with St Molleran’s, Modeligo, Mount Sion, Portlaw and St Anne’s, having played 3 games and won 2 at this point, keep up the great work!

Best of Luck!
Best of luck to Dearbhla and Megan in the inter-county championship this weekend as they and the Waterford Senior camogie team take on Antrim in their last game of the group.  The Waterford Senior camogie team have already qualified for an All Ireland quarter final which is fantastic!  The game against Antrim is in SETU Arena Saturday 1st July at 4.30pm, why not go along and give this great group your support!
