Academy Update
The schools are back up and running and our Saturday morning academy continues to deliver fun activities and games for boys aged 5 to 10 years.  Call out to our club grounds any Saturday morning to join in the fun.

U10 & U11
Disappointingly, the weather put paid to plans for our U10 and U11's on Saturday morning. The U10's were scheduled to head for Midleton on a bus to play a hurling blitz and the U11's were due to go to Carrickbeg to play hurling and football but the wind and rain meant that both events were cancelled. There will still be plenty of opportunity for the boys to enjoy away days before the season finishes.

U12 Festival of Football
The Under 12 football season ended on a high with two fantastic final games against Stradbally and Clashmore. The Ballinacourty boys coming out the right side of both results.
As the group dug into the clubs under age talent, 31 boys from under 10, 11 and 12 participated in 17 football matches, forming two really spirited teams. Their commitment and teamwork were outstanding, and the quality of football in the final games was a real credit to the group.
Played under the GAA Go-Games format, the season focused on fun, development, and inclusion. The boys showed great progress, with some excellent team play emerging toward the end of the programme.
Huge appreciation goes to the 4 young referees who officiated so well for us throughout the season. We hope they enjoyed the experience and will continue to ref.
With football now complete, attention turns to the remainder of the Under 12 hurling programme, some great challenge games and the exciting challenge of fielding a Division 4 team in the Under 13 championship.

U16
The U16 boys continued the division 1 championship campaign last Monday (25th Sept) when De La Salle came to play in the Burgery. A solid performance from the boys meant that they were in control throughout the match and took the victory with a scoreline of 4:20 to 2:08. This resulted in qualification for the county semi final on 1st September against Roanmore with the match taking place in Roanmore. Keep any eye on social media for an update on the game.

Intercounty Activity
Well done to the Abbeyside boys who lined out for their county on Saturday in their respective championships.
First up we have Tadgh O'Connor, Lochlainn Hurney and Dara Power who played in the U14 Tony Forristal tournament. They came second in their group to the Cork team that went on to win the competition outright.
Also we had Dara Byrne, Rian Cliffe, Fionnán Murray and Killian Hagan who played in the Arrabawn Cup in Tipperary.
Finally at the U16 grade we had Alex Doyle, Coleman Radley, Dara Sullivan, Seán Óg O'Regan, Jack Hurney and Owen Morrissey who, having beat Kilkenny, lost to a strong Dublin team in the Michael Foley Cup semi final.
Well done boys, all in the club are very proud of you!
