Juvenile Notes - 18th September

Saturday Mornings
Outdoor hurling continues every Saturday morning from 10.30 for boys aged five and up. Helmets and hurleys can be purchased through the club at a discounted price. All newcomers are welcome.

Under 8
Our U8 panel travelled to Roanmore for their annual charity hurling blitz on Saturday 14th. We entered two teams with the first group playing De La Salle, Cloughbawn (Wexford) and Glenmore (Kilkenny). The second group came up against Passage, Rathgarouge / Cushinstown (Wexford) and Midelton (Cork). Medals were presented to the lads by Robert Frost, Munster Council and Tom Cunningham, Waterford County Chairman. A big thanks goes to the Roanmore club for an excellently run blitz. The boys had an extra surprise when county minor stars Kevin Daly and Austin Gleeson arrived and had photos taken and hurlies and jersey's signed. Well done boys you all played great hurling on the day. Visit the club website for pictures of the day.

Under 13
Our Under 13 hurlers were due to play their county final against Mount Sion on Saturday morning last at Walsh Park. Due to deaths in our club this match did not go ahead however and should be played this weekend instead. Best of luck to everyone involved.
Club History
Abbeyside / Ballinacourty GAA Club was formed in 1967 as a result of the amalgamation of Abbeyside Hurling and Football Clubs and Ballinacourty Football Club. It is situated within the Parish of Abbeyside, Ballinroad and Garranbane. Located on the eastern side of the River Colligan, it forms the northern and eastern shorelines of Dungarvan Harbour from Abbeyside Church to Ballinacourty Lighthouse
Development Fund
Abbeyside/Ballinacourty GAA Club has been growing at a dramatic pace over the past 10 years with the population of our parish increasing rapidly. We must ensure that we have the best facilities for all our players. We want to ensure that the next generation have the facilities that they need and deserve. We are asking supporters and friends to support this project over the next five years.
Strategic Plan
Past generations have had their visions for the future of our club. These are our current aims and with these achieved we hope to hand on the club to future generations in the same healthy state it was passed onto us.
