Club Notes - 27th February

Jack The Joker
No. Drawn - 24
Our popular Jack the Joker Fundraiser will continue this Sunday night in the Parish Office where the Jackpot will be €8,606 as on Sunday night Yvonne Keane was drawn out of the drum but did not find the Joker, however she did win €50, while Michael Fraher and Dr. Dave won €25. We appeal to all our supporters to continue purchasing the tickets as the funds raised will go towards our ongoing development works at the club grounds.

Under 21 Football
This Saturday we play Comeragh Gaels in the Western Semi Final in Fraher Field at 4pm.

Club Development Information Night
We will be holding an Information Evening in St. Augustine’s College Study Hall on Friday, March 1st from 6pm to 9 pm. The purpose of this meeting is to inform parents and guardians of the Development Works that will be taking place in our club grounds this year.
Members of the Club Committee will be on hand to answer any questions that you may have about our proposed development work this year (Construction of Hurling Alley and Purchase of New Pitch) or indeed any questions you may have relating to the club activities.
All those with an interest in the future development of our club are welcome to call in to the hall at any time from 6 to 9 pm, where we would also welcome any observations that people may have on these proposed works in our grounds.

Club Bingo
Our Bingo continues this Sunday night in the CBS Hall where the jackpot is €1,100.

Club Pitch
All managers are asked to note that the main club pitch remains closed and managers are asked to ensure that they have booked the training pitch before arranging training. We would ask that managers arranging Challenge games would book the field at least five days in advance with Michael O’Donovan.

Membership
Membership fees are now due and can be paid to Jonathan O’Donovan or Kevin Tobin or indeed any member of the club committee. We would ask that all players make an effort to pay their membership as soon as possible as training has now resumed with a number of Championships beginning in the next number of weeks.

Deise Development Draw
Over the next number of weeks members of our club will once again be calling to the people of our parish seeking your support for the Deise Development Draw which will begin at the end of March. The format of the draw is similar to previous years with nine monthly draws costing €10 a month. Each month there will be a prize fund of €15,600 so as well as supporting our club you will be in with a chance of winning some fantastic prizes.

Sympathy
On behalf of all in the club we would like to send our sympathies to the O’Donovan family, Murphy Place and the Flynn family, Colligan on the recent death of Mr. Seán Flynn who passed away in England. Ar dheis lámh Dé go raibh a hanam usail.

Development Fund
Abbeyside/Ballinacourty GAA Club has been growing at a dramatic pace over the past 10 years with the population of our parish increasing rapidly. We must ensure that we have the best facilities for all our players. We want to ensure that the next generation have the facilities that they need and deserve. We are asking supporters and friends to support this project over the next five years.

Strategic Plan
Past generations have had their visions for the future of our club. These are our current aims and with these achieved we hope to hand on the club to future generations in the same healthy state it was passed onto us.
