Club Notes - 8th September

 
Championship 2021
The championship action continued this week with all three adult teams inaction. The Junior A continued their good run of form with a victory over Kilgobnet whilst both the Senior and Junior B teams went down to defeats against Ballygunner and Fourmilewater respectively. Meanwhile the minor team had a good victory over Mount Sion on Sunday morning last.
All the above are in action again this weekend with the Junior A’s the 1st team into knockout competition when they take on Kilrossanty in the Western Quarter Final.
 
Senior Hurling Championship
Abbeyside v Ballyduff Upper – Sunday 12th September @ 13.30 in Fraher Field
 
Minor Hurling Championship Div 1
Abbeyside v De La Salle – Sunday 12th September @ 10.30 in De La Salle
 
Junior A Western Championship Quarter Final
Abbeyside v Kilrossanty – Saturday 11th September @ 13.30 in Bushy Park
 
Junior B Western Championship
Abbeyside v Lismore – Friday 10th September @ 19.30 (venue to be confirmed)
 
Jack The Joker
The ever-popular Jack The Joker draw took place on Monday night last. Paul Lennon was drawn and picked number 32. When turned this was not the Joker, but he did win €50. Louise & Kevin and Gail Sandford won €25 each. The jackpot next week will be €1,800.
 
Club History
Abbeyside / Ballinacourty GAA Club was formed in 1967 as a result of the amalgamation of Abbeyside Hurling and Football Clubs and Ballinacourty Football Club. It is situated within the Parish of Abbeyside, Ballinroad and Garranbane. Located on the eastern side of the River Colligan, it forms the northern and eastern shorelines of Dungarvan Harbour from Abbeyside Church to Ballinacourty Lighthouse

Development Fund
Abbeyside/Ballinacourty GAA Club has been growing at a dramatic pace over the past 10 years with the population of our parish increasing rapidly. We must ensure that we have the best facilities for all our players. We want to ensure that the next generation have the facilities that they need and deserve. We are asking supporters and friends to support this project over the next five years.
