Academy Update
Our under 8 boys enjoyed the spring sunshine on Saturday morning as 27 of them took to the field for a fun and active football session.  As well as ducking and diving through obstacle courses, the boys took part in fun activities aimed at developing the core skills of football and build team spirit. The juice and biscuits at the end of training were well deserved!  Our academy runs every Saturday morning and new members are always welcome.

Under 9 Football Blitz
Our club grounds were also busy on Saturday afternoon when our under 9 footballers welcomed Gaultier to play a football blitz.  31 young Ballinacourty footballers lined out and played four fun-filled matches against the boys from the Barony.  It was all smiles afterwards as the boys enjoyed the well-deserved refreshments.

Under 13 Hurling Day Out
34 of our under 13 boys travelled by coach to Kilkenny on Sunday to take in the national hurling league semi-final.  Before going to Nowlan Park they played James Stephens, who like us, are also known as “The Village”.  It was the boys’ first hurling match for a long time and gave a really good account of themselves before going on to support their clubmates Neil and Mikey as they lined out against Wexford.

Under 13 & Under 15 Football Championship
On Monday 28th our under 15 division 1 team play St. Olivers in Ballinameela while our division 4 team host Affane in the Burgery. Our under 13 divison 1 team are away to Naomh Bríd on Wednesday evening while the division 4 boys take on Clashmore/Kinsalebeg at our club grounds.  Best of luck to all!

Intercounty
The Waterford Senior Hurlers scored a resounding victory over Wexford last Sunday in the Division 1 League semi-final with our own Neil Montgomery and Michael Kiley playing prominent roles. They now face off against Cork in the Final in Thurles this Saturday evening at 19.15 and we wish all involved the very best of luck. It would be fantastic to bring a national title back to the Deise.

Aaron Beresford, and Brian Looby meanwhile were part of the Waterford Senior Footballers panel last Sunday in Cavan where unfortunately they were beaten.

Bingo
Sunday Night Bingo continues every Sunday at 8pm.
