Club Notes - 8th August


Joker Jackpot Continues to Rise
No. Drawn - 12
Our popular Jack the Joker Fundraiser will continue this Sunday night in The Stables Bar where the Jackpot will be €11,348. This week Pat Earley was drawn out of the drum but did not find the joker but did win €50 while Brid Scanlon and the Cosgrave family won €25. We appeal to all our supporters to continue purchasing the tickets as the funds raised will go towards our ongoing development works at the club grounds. Please note that tickets are now also available in Enright’s shop Ballinroad.

Under 21 Hurling
On Monday last we played Cappoquin in the Western Semi Final in Fraher Field and came away with a good victory on a score line of 1-15 to 2-04. We now advance to play St. Carthage’s in the Western Final.

Senior Football
We defeated Ring on Sunday morning last in the County League Semi Final on a score of 3-17 to 2-10 and we will now meet Kilrossanty in the Final.

This Saturday we play Gaultier in the County Championship at 5:30pm in Walsh Park.

Club Bingo
Our club bingo will continue in the CBS Hall this Sunday night where the Jackpot is €1,250.

Congratulations

We would like to ask all team managers to please ensure that they have booked the pitch with Bernard Shields before they arrange training sessions.
Club History
Abbeyside / Ballinacourty GAA Club was formed in 1967 as a result of the amalgamation of Abbeyside Hurling and Football Clubs and Ballinacourty Football Club. It is situated within the Parish of Abbeyside, Ballinroad and Garranbane. Located on the eastern side of the River Colligan, it forms the northern and eastern shorelines of Dungarvan Harbour from Abbeyside Church to Ballinacourty Lighthouse

Development Fund
Abbeyside/Ballinacourty GAA Club has been growing at a dramatic pace over the past 10 years with the population of our parish increasing rapidly. We must ensure that we have the best facilities for all our players. We want to ensure that the next generation have the facilities that they need and deserve. We are asking supporters and friends to support this project over the next five years.
