Club Notes - 12th February

Jack The Joker
No. Drawn - 27
Our popular Jack the Joker Fundraiser will continue this Sunday night in Kennedy’s Live where the Jackpot will be €9,100 as on Sunday night Mary Kiely was drawn out of the drum and picked card 27 but did not find the Joker, yet  she did win €50. Cadhla McGrath and Georgina Crowley won €25 each. As well as our group of ticket sellers tickets can be purchased from Convenience Store Ballinroad, The Village Inn, Village Flowers, Kennedys Live, Spar and Mousies Takeaway.



Club Bingo
This Sunday our Club Bingo continues in the CBS Hall at 8:30 pm where the jackpot is €1100.

Membership
With a number of football Championships due to get underway in the next number of weeks we would ask that all players and indeed non players make a special effort to pay their membership to our Membership Officer Kevin Tobin as soon as possible.

Under 21 Football
This Saturday our Under 21 footballers take on Brickey Rangers in Fraher Field at 2pm in the first round of the Western Championship.

Club Social
Our Club Social goes ahead this Saturday in the Park Hotel, and it promises to be a great night where we will be presenting medal s to our victorious Senior and Under 21 Football teams and our Junior Hurling Team.  Tickets costing €25 can be purchased from Michael Ferncombe, Kevin Tobin, Niamh Enright, Jonathan O’Donovan, Tiernan Murray or Neil Moore. Please note tickets must be purchased in advance as no money will be taken on the night. We ask that everybody be ready to be seated for dinner at 8pm sharp on Saturday night.

Best of Luck
On behalf of all in the club we would like to wish Ballysaggart the very best of luck ahead of their All Ireland Junior Hurling Final replay in Mullingar this Saturday.

GAA National Draw
This year for the GAA are staging a National Draw with some truly fantastic prizes on offer. The prize fund is being fully paid for by Croke Park meaning that 100% of the money the club makes from the draw will be kept by the club. Tickets cost €10 each and are currently available to purchase from any member of the Club Committee or the Juvenile Committee.

Booking of Pitches
All team managers are reminded to please ensure that they have booked the pitch for training or matches with Michael O’Donovan. We would also ask tem managers to please try and do as much heavy training in the areas behind the goals.

Club Committee Meeting
There will be a meeting of the club committee this Thursday night at 8pm in the Club Grounds.
Club History
Abbeyside / Ballinacourty GAA Club was formed in 1967 as a result of the amalgamation of Abbeyside Hurling and Football Clubs and Ballinacourty Football Club. It is situated within the Parish of Abbeyside, Ballinroad and Garranbane. Located on the eastern side of the River Colligan, it forms the northern and eastern shorelines of Dungarvan Harbour from Abbeyside Church to Ballinacourty Lighthouse

Development Fund
Abbeyside/Ballinacourty GAA Club has been growing at a dramatic pace over the past 10 years with the population of our parish increasing rapidly. We must ensure that we have the best facilities for all our players. We want to ensure that the next generation have the facilities that they need and deserve. We are asking supporters and friends to support this project over the next five years.
