Club Notes - 2nd May

Joker Fundraiser
Our popular Jack the Joker Fundraiser will continue this Sunday night in The Stables Bar where the Jackpot will be €6,646. This week Flynner / Crow were drawn out of the drum but did not find the joker but did win €50 while John Byrne and John Cosgrave won €25. We appeal to all our supporters to continue purchasing the tickets as the funds raised will go towards our ongoing development works at the club grounds.

Senior Football
On Saturday evening last we got back to winning ways in the County Championship as we defeated St. Saviours in Walsh Park on a score of 2-10 to 1-03. Unfortunately this win came at a huge cost to the club as Gary Hurney received a fractured jaw near the end of the game which will keep him out of at least four club games  and one inter county game over the next 8 weeks as well as keeping him out of work. All in the club wish Gary a speedy recovery and hopefully both club teams will still be competing in the Championship when he returns.

Generous Sponsorship
On behalf of all in the club we would to welcome Jack O’Hare and all at Adesco Systems on board as our main club sponsors once again for the current season. Last season was Jack’s first season as our sponsor and in these difficult economic times we would like to express our deep gratitude to Jack for agreeing to renew his sponsorship for a second season. Hopefully 2012 will be as successful as 2011 for us all.

Club Bingo
Our club bingo will continue in the CBS Hall this Sunday night where the Jackpot is €550.

Booking of Pitches
We would like to ask all team managers to please ensure that they have booked the pitch with Bernard Shields before they arrange training sessions.

Membership
Please note that membership can now be paid to Jonathan O’Donovan or any member of the committee.

Sympathy
On behalf of all in the club we would like to extend our sympathies to the O’Mahoney family on the death of Una O’Mahoney, McCarthyville. Úna’s sons John and Bosco both played for the club at all grades for many years and once again we send our sympathies to all her family and friends.
