Club Notes - 9th May

Joker Fundraiser
Our popular Jack the Joker Fundraiser will continue this Sunday night in The Stables Bar where the Jackpot will be €7,000. This week Paddy Joe Dwane was drawn out of the drum but did not find the joker but did win €50 while Miguel Garcia and Roisin Tobin won €25. We appeal to all our supporters to continue purchasing the tickets as the funds raised will go towards our ongoing development works at the club grounds.

Get Well Soon
On behalf of everybody in the club we would like to wish Tiernan Murray a speedy recovery from the shoulder injury he sustained at training on Monday last. Having battled back to play Senior Championship this year sustaining this serious injury so early in the season is very distressing for Tiernan who will be sorely missed in our upcoming games in the Championship.

Club Bingo
Our club bingo will continue in the CBS Hall this Sunday night where the Jackpot is €600.

Booking of Pitches
We would like to ask all team managers to please ensure that they have booked the pitch with Bernard Shields before they arrange training sessions.

Membership
Please note that membership can now be paid to Jonathan O’Donovan or any member of the committee.

Sympathy
On behalf of all in the club we would like to extend our sympathies to the family and friends of the late Gerry Fraher who passed away in the USA recently. Gerry and his brother Jimmy and Larry played for Abbeyside many years ago and once again we send our sympathies to his family at home and in the USA.

Development Fund
Abbeyside/Ballinacourty GAA Club has been growing at a dramatic pace over the past 10 years with the population of our parish increasing rapidly. We must ensure that we have the best facilities for all our players. We want to ensure that the next generation have the facilities that they need and deserve.
