Club Notes - 30th May

No. Drawn - 27

Joker Fundraiser
Our popular Jack the Joker Fundraiser will continue this Sunday night in The Stables Bar where the Jackpot will be €8,000. This week Bonnie Mills was drawn out of the drum but did not find the joker but did win €50 while Mary Rossiter and Michael Murray won €25. We appeal to all our supporters to continue purchasing the tickets as the funds raised will go towards our ongoing development works at the club grounds.

Senior Hurling
On Saturday evening last there was a large crowd present as we took on Dungarvan in Fraher Field in our third game of the Championship. The game turned out to be a great local derby played in a sporting manner by both sides with our team showing great determination to fight back and secure a deserved draw in injury time. Our next game is against Lismore on June 23rd.

We have one game remaining in the Championship against Ring in late June.

Sympathy
On behalf of all in the club we would like to send our sympathies to the family and friends of the late Mrs. Annie O’Brien nee Hogan who passed away last week in England. Annie’s brothers Michael (RIP), Johnny, Thomas and Patrick all played with our club for many years and we also send our sympathies to Annie’s sisters Chrissy, Kathleen and Mary who are all great club supporters. We would also like to send our sympathies to the family of the late Mr. Tommy Dunford Snr, Ballinamult who passed away over the weekend. The Dunford family are a great GAA family and Tommy’s grandson Ross plays for the club in adult and under 21 grades.
